7th Edition of Arabian Kickboxing Championships were held with Success in Agadir/Morocco

The 7 th Edition of Arabian Championships were held from 12 to 19 Mai 2014 in Agadir/Morocco with great success under high patronage of HH the King Mohammed VI and under the auspices of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee.

The Arabian Kickboxing Union leaded by Mr. Basel Shaer from Jordan is composed of WAKO Arabian members countries; some of them are members of WAKO Asia (WAKO ASIAN Kickboxing Federation) such as Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Bahrain, Kuwait, U.A.E, Palestine and other members of WAKO African Kickboxing Federation such as Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt………

The competitions were held in 3 styles (Full Contact, Low Kick and Point Fighting) in men and women divisions in Inbiâat sport hall where WAKO held in 2005 the WAKO World Championships.

WAKO delegation Nasser Nassiri Vice President of WAKO (IF) , President of WAKO Asia, and Salim Kayici, Vice President of WAKO Europe, WAKO (IF) Board members, and Driss El Hilali WAKO (IF) Board member were present during this prestigious competition. Mr Driss El Hilali was also in charge of all technical issue and was acting as technical delegate during the competitions.

A total of fifteen international referees/Judges were among the official referees/judges and took part in this competition, initiated in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the province of the Souss-Massa-Draa region, prefecture Agadir Idaoutanane the council of the area, the urban district of Agadir and the Souss-Massa Draa League.

The delegation of Royal Morocco Federation of full, light et semi-contact, kick-boxing, K1, forms, savate and disciplines associated took the first place of the competition by gaining 12 Gold medals. Jordan delegation 5 gold medals, Palestine, Libya and Iraq each 1 gold medal.

At the Arabian Kickboxing Union meeting held in Agadir, the Arab Union of kickboxing has decided to grant to Libyan Kickboxing Federation the organization of the 8th edition of the Arabian Kickboxing Championship in 2015.

The closing ceremony organized by Royal Morocco Federation of full, light et semi-contact, kick-boxing, K1, forms, savate and disciplines associatedit was marked by an exchange of gifts between representatives of the various delegations , as well as tributes to many official government personalities.

Mr. Abudl Karim El Hilali, President of Royal Morocco Federation of full, light et semi-contact, kick-boxing, K1, forms, savate and disciplines associated commented: The competitions were in very high technical level which confirm the progress of our union and its athletes.

Mr. Abudl Karim El Hilali added: I use this opportunity to thanks Nasser Nassiri, WAKO Vice President, President of WAKO Asia , Mr. Salim Kayici for their presence and collaboration during the competitions.
