Slovak Open 2016

Slovak Open 2016 already 17th annual in a row, organized by Slovak kickboxing Union ,was held on 20-21 of February in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia.

This tournament successfully hosted record number of 829 starting fighters from 68 clubs from 9 countries ! For the first time the tournament was held during 2 days.
On Saturday, fighters started in tatami sports-cadets and juniors in point fighting, light contact and kick light, seniors in PF. On second day tatami sports were held for seniors in categories LC, KL and in ring sports style K1 rules and fullcontact. Together 17 hours full of fights. Great atmosphere thanks to big teams from Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and many others. Winners got medals (gold winners also trophy), diploma with memory of our great Slovakian fighter, national coach and friend Ladislav Toth, who tragically died 4 years ago…

The fastest K.O. winning was in K1-rules (during first round in 15 seconds) by fighter from Czech Republic, prize money in value 150€. Total number of referees (35) from Slovakia, Poland, Czech, Hungary and Serbia did a great job, that brought a lot of emotional moments on this event.

On behalf on Slovak Kickboxing Union we would like to Thank All participants, coaches, referees and winners for amazing atmosphere! Without all, we couldn’t make this International tournament successful!
