3rd edition of WAKO World Cup Brazil was held in beautiful coast city Vitoria from 3rd to 6th of May. Event was once again great success with first level circumstances and care for athletes including accomondation, meals, transportation and exeption from participation fee. Standard of fights was also outstanding giving many thrilling moments for the audience present at the hall and watchers of worldwide televisionbroadcast. Clashes of top trimmed sportsmen in the finals at evening gala created athmosphere that is hard to describe. Tournament gathered fighters from Paraguay, Venezuela, Brasil, Netherlands, Gabon, Uruguay, Italy, Finland, Argentina, Azerbaidzan, Bolivia, Ghana and Mexico. As a special highlight of the gala former WAKO Pro European Champion Jarkko Jussila from Finland faced local young talent Arnaldo De Jesus in 7 round scheduled Full Contact Pro fight in category -66,8kg. Brazilian started very well landing few heavy shots but Jussila pushed opponent backwards with tough routine and had convincing victory by TKO in round 3. The World Cup tournament itself saw many good and fair bouts in Full Contact, Low Kick and K1-rules and especially home team Brazil dominated many of finals. Scores for the event no less than full ten points, kickboxing in Brazil is in good hands!
