TO ALL WAKO MEMBERS
During the 1st virtual WAKO Ordinary General Assembly held on Zoom platform on December 13th, 2020, to which 42 voting members took part together with other members as observers that had pre-registered on due time as required to attend the Assembly, please be informed that, at the end of a long process conducted in accordance with articles 15 and 16 of WAKO Statutes, the General Assembly ratified the decision of expulsion of the following countries as members of WAKO:
BERMUDA: Bermuda Karate Institute
PORTUGAL: FPKMT (Federacao Portuguesa de Kickboxing e Muay Thai)
SAMOA: WAKO Samoa
The above mentioned countries have completely lost any right as members of WAKO, so accordingly no support engagement or interactions with these federations that are now outside WAKO is allowed going forward, as they have lost all their rights.
From now on any other entity of those countries interested in joining WAKO can apply for membership sending its application to administration@wako.sport following Article 9. Application Procedures of the WAKO Statutes.
