The 2019 yearly edition of Balkan Open Cup, held in Tešanj (Bosnia and Herzegovina), from March 23th to March 24th, has been a successful WAKO event. The 12 past years has been more than enough to establish this event as a traditional gathering, not only of Balkan countries, but of a significant number of other European countries, too. Moreover, the local community is used to reserve its time for the last weekend of March to fill the sport hall. The competition was held on 4 tatamis and 2 rings, and saw the participation of 624 entries, 88 clubs, and 15 countries. Among the guests from the local political establishment, we had the pleasure to receive Mr. Vladimir Sitar, President of WAKO Balkan. The countries that participated were Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldavia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece, Israel, Poland, Lithuania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
