During these times of pandemic, WAKO Venezuela didn’t stop working, innovating and creating new options for the National organization.
In 2020 they carried out more than 200 various virtual activities, including seminars, trainings, webinars, international participation and competitive events.
By the specifically created virtual platform intended to technically gather athletes in Venezuela, with the participation and inclusion of foreign countries, they gained more than 1800 competitors, 100 clubs in 5 continents.
2021 has not been the exception and they started with the introduction to the New WAKO Rules intended for coaches, athletes and referees and continued with more than 50 already organized virtual activities such as medical webinars, technical seminars, and virtual physical activities that involve the whole families.
In June they organized two live events: the first one in the State of Mérida with the participation of 70 competitors in K1 and the other was prestigious Legacy Fight Night with 12 amateur K1 fights.
More diplomatic activities were carried out with Ministry of sports and negotiations for the inclusion of kickboxing in the 2021 National Games.
With strong leadership of Dario Alvarado, Venezuela continue to work very much motivated for the next international WAKO events.
