The Austrian Classics – WAKO World Cup

20th Anniversary for great kickboxing tournament this year was a celebration of sport and fair play. 32 nations represented with 2176 entries in the event from 242 clubs made this Austrian Classics special again.

K1, Full contact, kick light, light contact and point fighting were disciplines on the schedule.
Even the host had one of the numerous team-326 athletes, the most numerous was Italian team: record of 398 athletes confirmed Italy as one of the best kickboxing nations in WAKO.

Even Iraq (2) and United States (7) had its representatives, what makes this tournament even more prestigious. Italy, Austria, Germany, Hungary and Czech Republic were five the best nations in the medals statistics.

In the ranking order the best teams/clubs are: Czech full contact union (Cze), Kiralyteam Kickboxing Academy (Hun) and Kickboxing zveza Slovenie (Slo).

Grand Champion in Junior male division was Everill Eliah, Team Top Ten UK and Grand Champion open weight senior male again this year was Roman Brundl.
Grand Champion junior female trophy went to Angelino Domenica, Team Barrus Italy and in senior division the best lady was Nagy Henrietta Kiralyteam Kickboxing Academy.
Point Fighting Grand Champion Open Weight Seniors male was the category with the highest number of entries: 38 in total and behind goes category point fighting senior men -79 kg with the 34 entries. WAKO President was present at the Cup as well as the major of the Innsbruck, who was extremely interested in WAKO disciplines and competitions.

Friday April 21st 2017
4 pm started Full contact, K1
5 pm started Team fight, under green belts and beginners Point fighting

Saturday April 22nd 2017
9.00 am started Grand champion, juniors and seniors, Point fighting all categories and ring sports, semi finals and finals, Light contact and Kick light: from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm

Sunday April 23rd 2017
9.00 am started Light contact, Kick-Light and Ring sports finals
