A kickboxer is the absolute nr 1 in womens professional boxing

November 2, 2010

The stars is absolute coming from WAKO Kickboxing….!

Cecilia Brækhus, 29 years of age from Bergen Norway, defended her 3 world boxing titles (WBC, WBA, WBO) in Rostock, Germany defeating Swedish Mikaela Laurèn by a 7th round KO. Laurèn holding the WPBF title did never have a chance. The title WPBF is also now handed over to Brækhus.
But, Cecilia Brækhus is originally a semi-contact kickboxer both WAKO European Champion in 2002 and WAKO World Champion in 2003 in Paris. She also has several World Cups titles. After winning it all she moved to amateur boxing with silver in the World Championships some years ago. Now as a professional fighter her record is 15 wins and 0 losses. She is training in Berlin, Germany under the Sauerland team.

She is absolute the queen of boxing, but for us, she is originally a proud WAKO kickboxer. Today holding 4 world professional boxing titles. Not bad for a former semi-contact fighter!

We wish good luck in the further defences of the 4 titles.

(Below some pictures of her semicontact past in Jesolo and Paris).
