Fights for the diamond shine – Report from Diamond Cup

In Anapa, Russia, in modern sports complex, the annual World Cup Diamond/kickboxing of WAKO took place.

This year the event hosted more than 1000 athletes from 28 countries from all around the world.
There were teams which come every year: India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Ukraina, Belarus, Kirgystan, Azerbajan, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, Abhaziya etc, but now we had also new teams: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mauritius, South Africa, which have pleased the audience with beautiful fights.

On September 25th there was night Gala with finals – the best finals of WCD-2016 where winners received the highest award – gold sign with the real diamond!

The best gala fights:
Two girls in the light – contact have crossed their fists: Kolosheina Valeria from Russia and Saili Kanhat, India. Stronger and better was the Russian girl.
In the second fight Ekaterina Lukinyikh, (Russia) was better than Dalakyan Lilit (Armenia).
In full-contact fight -67 kg between Vitaliy Cherney, Russia and Maksat Usip, Kazakhstan, the Russian athlete was stronger.
Low kick fight between two Russian fighters: Lazaridi Nikolay and Mafedzov Azamat was great and Azamat won.
We had in final fight again two Russians, and victory went to Yuriy Konikov.
Shamil Khezh was satisfied with the second place this time. In difficult fight the fighter from South Africa Buys Francois lost from Mustafa Sharifov from Russia.
Again, the Russian Kumykov Islam was stronger than the Kazakh Aidyn Abdrakhmanov. Fantastic fight was shown by beautiful girls Olga Kochetkova, Russia and Bašić Merima, Bosnia i Herzegovina. Merima was better and received the highest award – diamond.
The Kazakh fighter of Konstantin Kupriyanov was better than Sassad Majidi from Iraq.
World Cup champion Shamil Gadzhimusayev (Russia) won the fight against Orynbai Aldar (Kazakhstan). The fighter from Mauritius Bauluck Fabrice Michel deserved the diamond celebrating in the fight against Shandar Ivanenko from Ukraine.
Another fighter from Mauritius Agathe Veejaye lost the fight against the Russian fighter Revuckiy Vladislav.
In spectacular fight of K-1 two strong Russian fighters Artem Khomich and SatrutdinVakhidov the audience was on their feet. Better was Vakhidov. At the end of evening, in the last fight Goncharov Evgenii won against Husimov Ahmed.
