WAKO World Senior Championship (LC, LK, K-1)

WAKO Senior World Championship (part one) for Low Kick, K-1 and Light Contact was held from 19-27 October in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first part of the gathering the best fighters in the world 2019 put the standards in organizing on the higher level. The hotel accomodation was very good and the sport hall was amazing. We have to admire team work as the key for our ability to direct individual accomplishements toward organizational objectives.

People gathered from all the five continents, Sarajevo downtown was easily reachable and we the participation resulted to be with 720 registered athletes in three disciplines.

The most successful and three best nations of the championships were

1. Russia

2. Serbia

3. Croatia

Best female competitor on tatami: GABRIELA BUSA (Hungary)

Best female competitor in the ring: MILANA BJELOGRLIC (Serbia)

Best male competitor on tatami: TIMOTY BOSS (Italy)

Best male competitor in the ring: VLADISLAV TUINOV (Russia)

Best tatami coach: EDUARD OSTROVSKY (Russia)

Best ring coach: DEJAN PAVIC (Serbia)

Best tatami referee: MIKHAIL GERASIMOV (Russia)

Best ring referee: DRAGANA VITKOVIC (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
