16TH WAKO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BELGRADE

1085 people representing 60 countries (China included, for the first time ever !) are gathering in Belgrade, capital of Serbia, for the 16th edition of WAKO World Championships in Light contact, Low-kick and K1 Rules.

That is the first part of our World Championships in 2007, since the second one ( regarding Semi, Full Contact, Musical Forms and Aero-kickboxing) is scheduled in Coimbra (Portugal) from 26th November to 2nd December.

Belgrade Championships, promoted by Serbian Kickboxing Federation leaded by Mr. Borislav Pelevic, are under the auspisces of the Republic of Serbia and of the Highest Sport Authorities of the country.

On Wednesday 26, in the local Town Hall, WAKO will have its General Assembly in which present Board of Directors will run for re-election. WAKO will also celebrate its 30 years history in Belgrade. During the ceremony, a short film about the first 30 years of the organization will be shown to the auditorium and old and new leaders and celebrities wil be awarded by a special present.
