Master Cris Janson-Piers has been working tirelessly throughout the last few years to re generate British Kickboxing to its highest level. Saturday 16 th February saw the WAKO British Full Contact section of the National competition break all recorded entrance records in a massive build up to the competition and the inclusion of a successful marketing strategy. Cris said he was very happy at the result and it kept the officials on their toes constantly from 9am in the morning until 9pm at night.

The Competition attracted many a new breed of Cadets and Adults and from as far a field as Scotland and Wales also. WAKO GB is now hoping some of this new talent can now add to strengthen the squad fro the European Championships at the end of the year.

Also Cris is now formulating a WAKO Pro GB squad who have already received sponsorship and will be looking to compete against any country on individual shows or Galas anywhere in the World . This squad will be formulated over the next 6 months from fighters the rest of the WAKO World have not even seen yet and Cris is hoping to producing medals at the earliest.

“ The Great Britain Full Contact scene has had a great lift in the last year and we are determined not to be second best, we will be there at the championships this year in strength and we are ready! ” Said Master Cris Janson-Piers
