Looking forward to Wroclaw

March 9, 2016

Dear WAKO members,

By the present we would like to remind you that for the first time ever WAKO will participate as invitational sport in the next WORLD GAMES , that will take place in the city of Wroclaw , Poland , on 20 th -30 th July 2017 .

WAKO will be represented by one discipline, K1 rules , in 8 male and 4 female weight classes.

For more practical information about this important event you can find it on WAKO website at the following link under “IWGA > World Games 2017” on the main menu:

In addition please be informed that World Games Organizing Committee are launching in social media a campaign called ” Looking forward to Wroclaw “.

They will publish short home-made videos of athletes of our sport announcing how they are looking forward to The World Games in Wroclaw in 2017.

For doing this they need your help: could you please identify possible K-1 athletes from your federation for this campaign?
The videos can be taken with a mobile phone, and sent via e-mail to me at

Directions for the video:

-Can be mobile phone quality.

-Preferably .mp4 format, but all formats are allowed.

-Short. Max. 30 seconds.

-The athlete should first present her/himself either short (I am X.X., a kickboxing player) or long (I am X.X., World Champion and winner of…….in kickboxing ecc.)

-The sentence “I am looking forward to The World Games 2017 in Wroclaw” should be included at least in English, but also, if preferred, in the athlete’s mother tongue.

You can see the videos on the World Games Facebook page or on the page of TWG 2017.

Thank you very much in advance for cooperation!

Kind regards,

Barbara Falsoni
WAKO IF Administration
