Please find here below attached the official invitation from WAKO board to the 2022 WAKO National Governing Body Development and Coaching Workshop, under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Founder of KHK Sports and BRAVE® Combat Federation. In association with HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, VP of GSA and President of Bahrain Combat Sports Council, Mr. Mohammed Shahid, Private Secretary to HH Sh. Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Advisor to President Bahrain Olympic Committee and Mr. Ahmed AlWazzan, President of Kickboxing Federation, the upcoming WAKO development workshop will be held in Bahrain from 18th to 20th March. It is great to see the development of Kickboxing in the region and in WAKO globally.
The entire focus of the weekend is the learning and sharing of best practice and hearing from subject matter experts, who have practical and repeatable experiences.
This is to allow us to grow and share practical experiences. This is part of the WAKO 5 years strategic development program as outlined by the president at the GA in 2021 and is a follow on of the previous Highly successful event in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2020. We are also hosting a Pan American event later in the year.
We have agreed with his HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to include a High Performance Coaching Development Workshop, in Full contact, Point Fighting, Light Contact and K1, where your coaches will have the opportunity to learn and share with an incredible line up of accomplished and capable coaches over the two days in four of the seven disciplines within WAKO. This two day course is free of charge.
Three nights shared accommodation and food (twin rooms) will be covered for all attendees approved by the national federation, for a maximum of four people per country attending.
Flights/transports are at your own expense.
All registrations must be done through the WAKO member federation on or before the indicated date sending registration form, hotel booking form and visa application, in case of need, together with passport copy of each participant to WAKO Administration – administration@wako.sport – NOT LATER THAN THURSDAY 24th FEBRUARY, 2022!

This shows the significant relationship WAKO has within the Olympic Family of sports.
