The World Games Athlete of the Year 2018 Voting Open

The online voting for The World Games Athlete of the Year 2018 has now been opened!
A record number of candidates, 25, are competing for the title.
Last year, Sport Climbing World Record holder and The World Games 2017 champion, Reza Alipourshenazandifar (IRI) won the Athlete of the Year title with 90,790 votes just before Powerlifter legend Larysa Soloviova (UKR) with 90,036 votes.

The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. The 11th edition of The World Games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 15-25 July 2021. 3,600 athletes from over 30 sports and 100 countries will take part in the Games.

Let’s vote and support the Kickboxing representative, Orfan Sananzade (Ukraine) , on the World Games Website !

Reason for nomination: in 2018 Orfan was the only K-1 fighter who got a gold medal during the last European Championships held in Bratislava (Slovakya) in same weight category (-63,5 Kg), where he was also gold medalist fighting at The World Games 2017 (Wroclaw, Poland).

VOTING RULES :

You can give one vote for candidate once every 24 hours.

If you provide to give your name, surname and email address and agree to receive The World Games newsletter you will be able to give two votes at once instead of only one (see details in the confirmation email you will receive).

On January 15th 21:00 CET only the 10 candidates with the most votes will continue in the race .

The voting will finish on January 31st 20:00 CET .
