Dear WAKO Presidents/National Anti Doping Officers

Here below you can find the appropriate information to be forwarded to your NADO (National Anti Doping Officer) and NADA (National Anti Doping Agency). It is very important that this information is distributed to your member organisation and all coaches international and national athletes within your association. Education is one of the primary objectives of the new Anti Doping Code and it is each associations responsibility to ensure its members and educated and informed about Anti Doping activity and rules and regulations. Please place this information on your web sites as soon as possible.

WAKO-WADA Anti Doping Code This is the new code which is applicable from the 1 st January 2009 and has been approved by the board of WAKO. YOU AND YOUR MEMBERS are now governed by this code. It is very important you and your national coaches take the time to read this document and revert to your NADO with any queries.

WAKO Where About Form

Feb-July 09 Where abouts form WAKO

It is now mandatory that all senior medalists (1 to joint 3 rd Place) from the 2008 WAKO European Championships, become part of the WAKO ATP ( Active Testing Pool). Each Association/Organisation is required to issue this document by mail or e mail to each of its athletes that won a gold, silver or bronze at last years European championship. THIS FORM IS MANDATO|RY . Any Athlete not returning said form on or before 28 th February may loose his/her ranking at world and European events in the future. I have also attached a document to this mail outlining how to fill out the whereabouts form.

Prohibited list 2009

This should be distributed to your association AND national coaches as it details the prohibited list as of 1 st Jan 2009, Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse, it is the responsibility of the athlete and national federation to ensure it is aware of its obligations under the code.
