China in the future of WAKO.
WAKO’s future is getting more and more involved with China.
After 3 men in China (Espen Lund, Richard Leyrer and president Ennio Falsoni- see article below-) for the 2007 GAISF General Assembly in Beijing on last 27th april, it is now the turn of MACAU. The former Portuguese colony in fact is going to host the 2007 Asian Indoor Games in next October under the patronage of OCA (Olympic Council of Asia). OCA has charged WAKO ASIA to run the kickboxing tournament which will take place from 22nd to 27th October.
WAKO ASIA Continental division will select the countries participating in the Indoor Games in cooperation with certain national WAKO representatives. 3 styles only and 5 male weight classes have been chosen for the first appearance of kickboxing in the Games.
